It is hard to believe that it is already time for another Fine Arts Night...this year has been the fastest ever. Just like the wings on my clock say, "Time flies when you're having fun!"
May 3rd is the big event, our annual student art show and Chorus concert. Every student in the school will have their favorite piece from the year on display. The framing company Artome will again be framing all the works for a beautiful display, and the frames will be available for sale. The artwork is not for sale, it belongs to the student artists, but the frames are a great deal - more info on pricing will be posted soon! We have been going through our portfolios and selecting our best works, such a tough choice, and we have given titles to our pieces to enhance their meaning. All student work, including the pieces from Fine Arts Night, will be sent home in the last couple of weeks of school, and the students are already excited about bringing these home to share with their families. Again, save the date - May 3 from 5:30 - 7:30 - see you then!

woah! How did you get them to do all the framing for you? That is such a sweet deal!
ReplyDeleteJen - check out their site at www.artome.com and see if they are in your area.
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see more!
ReplyDeleteI agree with Jen- sweet deal! Do they also provide the racks that they're on? I'd like to get me some of those!
ReplyDeleteyep, they provide the racks, the mounting sheets/labels, and fliers. all i have to do is help the kids choose and title their work and attach it to the mounting sheets. our school earns a small profit from the sale of the frames, which we use to pay for things like field trips or photo developing for art class. the company sets up and takes down the show, and returns all the art once they've removed the frames. nice!
