Today is International Dot Day - the birthday of the inspiring book The Dot by Peter H. Reynolds. I posted about our preparations for this day here, and today I'd like to share some of our 3rd graders products created in the spirit of Vashti, who "just made her mark"...
I made this poster to help us remember the lesson - it is like our motto when we start something new |
students chose which media they wanted to use, and we discussed the differences |
Watching the animated story was really fun |
I love all their dots! I did the Dot with my Kindergartens this year. Last year I used it with my 1st and 2nd grades during love of reading week! Thanks for sharing them! :)
ReplyDeleteThanks again for your previous post on Dot Day. We did it too last week. Started with the YouTube video and went on from there. Kids loved making the connection!!
ReplyDeleteYour dots are great - spontaneous and colorful!!
ReplyDeleteMaybe next year the timing will work out for me to celebrate International Dot Day! My student teacher is in the middle of her full time teaching right now. :)
