Sunflower pinch pots

First graders have begun a unit on painter Vincent Van Gogh and his masterpieces.  Our first project is a sunflower formed from a pinch pot.  Van Gogh loved sunflowers and painted them again and again - sometimes out in the fields and sometimes at home in a vase.  Our little bowls capture the colors and textures of the sunflowers.

  1. These would be amazing for Kansas Day. Do you think I could use self hardening clay and paint? Really love these but, no kiln.

  2. Great idea! They will be perfect for a Kansas Day project some day if I really get a kiln. Also, we got the ATCs in the mail and I distributed most of them last week. The kids are excited, thanks!

  3. These are great! I have seen these on a flew blogs and these just might be my favorite!

  4. These are great! I love sunflowers myself and pinned them to my sunflower board over on Pinterest!

  5. First time visiting ~ love your sunflower pots! I think this is also my first time blogging, how do you find the time??? Can't wait to see what else you've got posted!
