YAM thoughts...week 1

March is Youth Art Month, and I am taking this opportunity to find out what the kids think "Art is..." and what "Art isn't...".
JT Oh, 4th grader, says that Art is..."when creativity and uniqueness come together to make a masterpiece."
Danielle Baptiste, also a 4th grader, says Art isn't..."wrong or right."
We are also taking inspiration from art masters like Pablo Picasso, who said "Art washes from the soul the dust of everyday life."

  1. I really like this idea! I am doing a YAM bulletin board that staff and students can write on...my caption is going to be what is your favorite art memory? I have the bulletin board up, but right now it's inaccessible because science fair projects are lining the hallway in front of it...Next week it should hopefully be up and running. The post-it note idea is great!
