What’s going on?

This month we have been finishing a number of projects to prepare for our upcoming art show next month - here are some pics of what has been going on down in the old art room.
Third grade has started their monogram embroidery project.

Fifth graders are making potholders and are about to start a loom weaving with patterns.

Sofia was honored at the school board meeting for having work selected for a publication!

My Doodle for Google team finished their designs and we shipped them off to the contest.

Third grade finished all of their Georgia bird portraits.

Needle & Thread club are finishing their painted and embroidered faces.

We are celebrating Youth Art Month with a fun art history game that ties in to the current basketball craze! Each week in March, students are getting a quick lesson on six famous artworks and then vote for their favorite. The categories change each week - Portraits, Landscapes, Sculpture, and Nonobjective. This week is our final four and we will have a winner for overall favorite artwork at the end of the month. The first pic shows the final four contenders, and keep scrolling to see other participating works from the month.
